Rochester Sports Banquet Silent Auction is a huge success!

SPORTS BANQUET ANNUAL AUCTION - PRESENTED BY TEAM 25/ SHJON PODEIN FOUNDATION A SUCCESS!

The Rochester Sports annual Banquet was held on January 15, 2024 at the Rochester Event Center. It was a great event - congratulations to all the finalists, winners and the Rochester Sports staff for hosting such a fun event!

Along with celebrating the athletes, Rochester Sports Foundation is host to the Bob Brown Sports Auction. Bob was the PB Editor for years and has donated over one hundred of his personal items over the years. His treasures are worth the time to simply view and enjoy - yet having the opportunity to own them is even better!

Over sixty items were offered at the silent auction and two in the live auction - the sports themed auction added to the fun of the night. 100% of the auction proceeds go to support the Rochester Sports Foundation Community Grant Program. The purpose of the RSF Community Grant Program is to maintain our current athletic facilities and fund new facilities. Over the past twelve years, we have raised over $90,000 to improve and update athletic facilities in Rochester.

This year one grant was awarded to the RCTC Foundation to assist in the purchase of spectator netting for the dome softball games. These nets help insure the safety of those spectors and others not on the field of play during the softball games in the dome. Special thanks to Mike and Becky Macken for spearheding this effort!
